Parliament: LSTV not showing Opposition’s side, alleges Congress MP; both houses adjourned
Opposition MPs continued their protests against the rising fuel prices in the country.
The Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha were on Tuesday adjourned for the day as Opposition MPs continued their protests against the rising fuel prices in the country. Meanwhile, Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury alleged that the Lok Sabha TV does not show what the Opposition says and only telecasts the statement of treasury benches.
Both the Houses of the Parliament will work from 11 am to 6 pm, instead of holding staggered sessions, from Tuesday. Until now, the Rajya Sabha used to meet in the morning, while the Lok Sabha convened in the evening.
On Monday, the Parliament reconvened for the second leg of the Budget Session. The session witnessed multiple adjournments as the Opposition staged protests against the sharp increase in fuel prices.

3.44 pm: Both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha have been adjourned till tomorrow, following protests from opposition MPs against the fuel prices in the country, reports the Hindustan Times.
3.41 pm: The Ministry of Home Affairs informs the Lok Sabha that the government has declared 42 organisations as terrorist outfits, and listed their names in the First Schedule of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967, reports ANI. It says terrorism in India “has been largely sponsored from across the border,” referring to Pakistan.

12.18 pm: Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury alleges that the Lok Sabha TV does not show what the Opposition says and only shows the statement of treasury benches, The Indian Express reports.
