It was waiting to happen. After Humans of New York and all the me-toos that followed, here comes Humans of Bollywood. The Facebook page, created by the entertainment website Miss Malini.com, introduces us to the characters that populate Tinseltown. “Everyone has a story – the stars on screen, and those off it,” the page's description reads. On the list are A-list stars, make-up artists, publicists and spotboys.
Pinkvilla, another entertainment and gossip website, also has the Heroes of Bollywood series. “We love our films but often do not notice those who toil hard in making a film happen,” reads the description on the first story, about a female stunt artist.
Other such Indian pages doing the rounds include Humans of India, Humans of Pakistan, Humans of Mumbai, Humans of Delhi and Humans of Bangalore. And then there are the satirical accounts such as Humans of Jharsa, Goats of Bangladesh and Cows of Benares.
