The David Attenborough-narrated documentary series Blue Planet II had its worldwide television debut on October 29 and registered a staggering live viewership of 10.3 million in the United Kingdom, according to a report in The Independent. This makes Blue Planet II the most-watched BBC show right now.

Blue Planet II explores life underwater and is the sequel to the 2001 documentary series The Blue Planet. Featuring music composed by Hans Zimmer, and a song by Radiohead, the seven-episode series has been compiled from over 6,000 hours of underwater footage shot in 39 countries involving 125 expeditions.
