Tamil actor Suriya’s upcoming film Thaanaa Serndha Koottam has been cleared with a U/A certificate for a January release.
The film is said to be a remake of Neeraj Pandey’s Hindi production Special 26 (2013), in which a gang of con artists pose as Central Bureau of Investigation officers and conduct an income tax raid on a jeweller.

Produced by KE Gnanavel Raja’s Studio Green and Suriya’s 2D Entertainment, Thaanaa Serndha Koottam is scheduled to be released during Pongal in January. The cast includes Keerthy Suresh, Senthil, RJ Balaji and Ramya Krishnan. According to a report in Catch News, Krishnan will be playing the character portrayed by Anupam Kher in the Hindi film.
