Santhosh P Jayakumar’s Arya-starrer Ghajinikanth! is scheduled to be released this year, The News Minute reported. The title, a portmanteau of Rajinikanth and Ghajini, describes Arya’s character, a passionate Rajinikanth fan who suffers from memory loss. The title is inspired by AR Murugadoss’s thriller Ghajini (2005), which revolves around the story of a man with short-term memory loss.

The Tamil movie has been written by Maruthi Dasari, and is based on his 2015 Telugu film Bhale Bhale Magadivoy.

The film has been produced by KE Gananvel Raja under his banner Studio Green, and features Sayyesha as the female lead, Naren as the father of Arya’s character, Sampath Raj as the heroine’s father, and Arya’s frequent co-star Santhanam as the narrator. The music will be composed by Balamurali Balu.

Apart from Ghajinikanth!, Arya will reportedly feature in three movies this year, including his Kannada debut Rajaratha.
