The latest trailer of Roar Uthaug’s Tomb Raider features a swashbuckling Alicia Vikander grappling with natural forces and bad guys galore as Lara Croft, the intrepid archaeologist who explores ancient tombs and ruins around the world.
Based on the popular video game franchise of the same name, Tomb Raider will be released on March 16 in India. The origins story follows Craft’s first expedition. Looking for answers about her father’s mysterious death, Craft goes to the island where he had disappeared years ago and finds herself in the midst of a sinister plot.
The new movie is a reboot of the Tomb Raider film series that starred Angelina Jolie. Uthaug’s version also stars Dominic West, Walton Goggins, Daniel Wu, Nick Frost and Kristin Scott Thomas.
