“Aata majhi satakli,” says a police officer with a lion tattoo on his arm in the trailer for Rohit Shetty’s new TV show. The hero isn’t Bajirao Singham, but his animated version, Little Singham.

Co-produced by Reliance Animation and Rohit Shetty Pictures, Little Singham will be aired on the Discovery Kids channel in April. The cartoon show is based on Shetty’s hit Singham films, starring Ajay Devgn, and will be aired in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, according to a report in Bombay Times.

The series will be directed by Vikram Veturi of Krishna Aur Kans (2012) fame. The first season will reportedly contain 156 episodes. “Singham was hugely loved by kids and a show like this will not only take the franchise ahead, but will also become a source of entertainment for the kids and audiences who love the film franchise so dearly,” Shetty told Bombay Times.
