The trailer of Mohanlal’s upcoming Malayalam film, Neerali, was released on YouTube on May 21, which happens to be the actor’s birthday. The film is the Malayalam debut for director Ajoy Varma, who previously made the Hindi film Dus Tola (2010).
Mohanlal stars as Sunny George, who heads out on the road in a truck only to get involved in an accident. Meanwhile, his wife, played by Nadhiya, is pregnant in an hospital elsewhere. A bloodied Sunny is trapped in his vehicle that is hanging off the edge of a cliff. Any attempt by Sunny to escape could lead to imminent death. The film also stars Parvatii Nair and Dileesh Pothan. Produced by Santhosh T Kuruvilla, and shot by noted cinematographer Santosh Thundiyil, Neerali might be Mohanlal’s first film released in 2018, as the team of his other film Odiyan is yet to complete shooting.
