In the trailer for Austrian filmmaker Peter Brunner’s To The Night, viewers are led into the mind of Norman (Caleb Landry Jones), an artist who suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder after losing his parents in a fire. Brunner taking us through Norman’s pain and turmoil as he deals with the memories of the accident and grapples with the loss of the very idea of a family.

Brunner has also written the film, which co-stars Eléonore Hendricks (Heaven Knows What) and Abbey Lee (The Neon Demon).

To The Night will be premiered on July 5 in the competition section of the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival (June 29-July 7) in the Czech Republic. Brunner’s previous film Those Who Fall Have Wings won the special jury prize in 2015 at the same festival.
