If you thought the movie Avengers: Infinity War (2018) was the most ambitious crossover in history, you may want to hold the thought since Marvel fans have come up with something better. The latest and fast-growing internet trend is to set fights sequences in the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies to songs by the Swedish pop band ABBA.
The internet is now home to videos of Thor wielding his hammer while Does Your Mother Know plays in the background, or Lay All Your Love On Me worked into Captain America: Winter Soldier (2014).
ABBA, formed in 1972 and comprising Agnetha Faltskog, Bjorn Ulvaues, Benny Andersson and Anni-Frid Lyngstad, is one of the world’s most successful pop groups, topping the charts in the 1970s and 1980s with a series of hits. Among the films they have inspired are Muriel’s Wedding (1994) and Mamma Mia! (2008) and its 2018 sequel.
