In India, fans of Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea are in despair. Not only is none of them at the top, the leader is a club they don't even consider a rival.

With nine wins out off fifteen so far, it’s Leicester City who's on top of the table with a 3-0 demolition of Swansea last Saturday.

It’s a crazy situation, but no one can say that the Foxes don’t deserve it. They have only lost once, a 2-5 loss against Arsenal, but otherwise have been magnificent. Riding on the individual success of Jamie Vardy, who has now set a Premier League record by scoring in eleven consecutive matches, Leicester City are now firmly in the title race.

But a lot of the success is due to the tactics of their canny manager Claudio Ranieri. Therein lies another story, however. Back in June, the club got a fair bit of stick for sacking fan-favourite Nigel Pearson and bringing in former Chelsea and Greece manager Ranieri.

But the Italian has showcased his nous throughout the season. It was on full display when Leicester took on Aston Villa in September – the Foxes made a thrilling second half comeback to win 3-2 after trailing 2-0 at half-time.

It will undoubtedly get more difficult. Ranieri’s men face Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City over the next three weeks. But if their recent form is any indication, don’t put it past them to put together another amazing run of wins.
