With the anniversary of the horrific Peshawar school massacre coming up, Pakistan's Inter-Services Public Relations department, which is the army's PR wing, has released a video that sends a message you wouldn't expect to hear coming from a military force. The song begins with a child asserting that he wants to take revenge on the terrorists who killed 130 children in Peshawar's Army Public School last year. But the refrain that follows explains what kind of revenge they have in mind: Mujhe Dushman Ke Bachhon ko Parhana Hai (I want to educate the children of our enemy).

The song pays tribute to the children who were murdered by the terrorists in the gruesome attack last year, as well as the parents who continue to mourn their deaths. It comes as a follow up to ISPR's video from last year soon after the attack, pouring scorn on those who target children to win their battles. Where that video sought to diminish the aims and ideals of the terrorists, this one seeks to send a message of peace and education.

It also serves as a reminder of the terrorists' decision to attack the Pakistan Army, often accused of supporting militants, and the resolve to militarily combat the Pakistan's terror problem in the aftermath of that attack. By sending the message that the response to Peshawar isn't just about guns, bullets and exterminating those who spread terror, ISPR manages to make a point that one rarely hears from military officials.
