Watch: A JD(S) MLA in Karnataka shared his meal with a monkey before casting his vote
The monkey seems to enjoy raagi mudde.
As voting in the Karnataka Assembly election was underway on Saturday, a rather peculiar incident was shared on social media – a politician was filmed companionably sharing a meal with a monkey at his table.
Ashwini M Sripad, a journalist with The New Indian Express, posted the video above on her Twitter account, of Tumkur Chikkanayakanahalli MLA CB Suresh Babu feeding a monkey ragi mudde, a popular dish in Karnataka, with his own hands while casually sitting at a dining table.
The Janata Dal (Secular) MLA looked quite relaxed as the monkey pranced about his table, where he himself was sitting down for a meal. Babu can be seen feeding the monkey and then continuing to eat himself. According to Sripad, Suresh Babu fed the monkey just before he proceeded to cast his vote in the Assembly election.
