Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga, Delhi spokesperson of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party, will contest the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections from Hari Nagar constituency. To thank his supporters, Bagga posted a rap song on his social media profile with the hashtag #Bagga4HariNagar.

Bagga has been extremely active on Twitter, often attacking those who choose to speak against the BJP, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and the ruling party’s policies. What began as notorious social media trolling has led Bagga to an important role within the ruling party, and, now, a ticket to fight the Delhi Assembly elections.

Earlier, Bagga disrupted author Arundhati Roy’s book launch at the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi in 2011. In the same year, he also barged into the office of Supreme Court lawyer and activist Prashant Bhushan and assaulted him.
