SSC CHSL 2017 exam date update: CHSL 2017 Tier-II exam to be held on July 15th
The SSC has given exam dates for its CHSL Tier-II exam 2017, having released CHSL Tier-I results recently. 48,404 candidates qualified for the Tier-II exam.
SSC CHSL Tier-II exam dates have been confirmed. The Staff Selection Commission (SSC), in a notification released on Monday, announced that it will be conducting the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) 2017 Tier-II exam on July 15th, 2018.
The Commission recently declared the results of the CHSL 2017 Tier-I exam - on June 16th. A total of 48,404 candidates have qualified for the SSC CHSL Tier-II 2017 exam.
The SSC CHSL Tier-II exam is of the descriptive type, and candidates will have to write an essay of around 200-250 words and a letter/application of around 150 words. The CHSL Tier-II exam will carry 100 marks and candidates will be given 60 minutes to display their writing skills.
The SSC notification also mentioned that the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Exam 2017 Tier-III would be conducted as scheduled on July 8th, 2018.
The Commission is conducting CHSL 2017 recruitment to fill 3,259 positions in the SSC including that of Lower Divisional Clerk/ Junior Secretariat Assistant, Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant and Data Entry Operator. The CHSL Tier-I examination was conducted from March 4th to March 28th and around 26.51 lakh candidates had appeared for the exam.
Among those who have qualified for the CHSL 2017 Tier-II exam, 14,371 are from the unreserved category, 15,984 from OBC, 8,152 from SC and 3,959 from ST. The remaining qualified candidates are from ex-servicemen, OH, VH, and HH categories. The cut-off marks for the unreserved category was 143.50, while the cut-offs for SC, ST, and OBC categories were 122.50, 112.00, and 139.00, respectively.
The Commission also mentioned that the results of Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Quantity Surveying and Contract) (Paper-II) Examination-2017 will be declared on June 22nd, 2018; however, this is a tentative date.
