The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) released admit cards for the 2018 University Grants Commission (UGC) National Eligibility Test (NET) exam today, June 21st. The UGC NET 2018 exam is scheduled for July 8th. All UGC NET 2018 applicants can download their admit cards from the official CBSE NET website, cbsenet.nic.in.

Here’s how to download UGC NET admit card 2018

  1. Click on this direct link to access the candidate log in page.
  2. Enter your application number and password.    
  3. The UGC NET admit card can be accessed on the page and can be printed out.

The CBSE conducts the UGC NET exam for Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor for universities and colleges. The UGC NET 2018 exam will be conducted in 84 subjects across 91 cities in the country.

The 2018 UGC NET examination consists of two papers. Paper I is an objective-type exam with 50 questions. The 100-mark paper tests candidates’ teaching and research aptitude. Paper II ois also an objective-type paper consisting of 100 questions of 100 marks, and is based on the subject opted for by candidates.

The candidates who qualify for the position of Junior Research Fellowship can pursue research in the field of their post-graduate degree and are also eligible to be recruited for the post of Assistant Professor. Candidates who qualify exclusively for Assistant Professor cannot pursue a Junior Research Fellowship.
