The Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) will begin its 2018 counselling process from July 16th, according to a notification released on the official website. The first round of counselling will be held in the premises of Mangala Mantapa, NMKRV College for Women in Bangalore.

The notification states that the indicative availability of seat for both Engineering and Architecture courses would be notified shortly. The candidates are advised to visit the site regularly to check for latest updates.

The results and rank cards for COMEDK 2018 exam were released on May 27th. The first rank was bagged by Durbha Aditya of National Public School, Bengaluru, who scored 168 marks out of 180. The second and third ranks were also secured by candidates from Bengaluru.

The COMEDK had previously released the details of the counselling process and students are expected to carry with them the following documents at the time of counselling: COMEDK rank card, COMEDK application form, COMEDK TAT, ID proof of the candidate, ID proof of parents/guardian, proof of date of birth, 12th mark sheet, and other community certificate if applying for quota seats.

It was reported earlier that only 284 candidates from Karnataka featured in top 1,000 COMEDK ranks, with almost three-fourths of rank holders coming from other states. However, forty-two candidates in the top 100 ranks are from Karnataka.

The COMEDK conducts the annual UGET entrance exam for undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) courses in member institutions and also organises the single-window counselling process. This year, the exam was conducted in the online mode at 291 centres in 137 cities across the country.
