Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) was expected to declare the result of the Group D first stage exam tomorrow, February 13th, according to a report by Indianexpress.com. However, a new report from Indianexpress.com states that the result date has been postponed. Now, the result will be declared on February 17th, 2019.

More than 1.5 crore had applied to participate in the Group D recruitment exam and the sheer number of candidates is causing the delay.

RRB Official Angaraj Mohan said to the outlet, “Taking into consideration the number of candidates, the board is taking time and precautions to release error-free results. The results of RRB Group D examinations will be released by Sunday, February 17, 2019.”

RRB will release the result for the respective regions in the respective RRB regional websites. The candidates can go to the respective regional RRB websites, click on the link for the result to access it.

RRB had reportedly received around 1.5 crore application for its Group D positions this year. The vacancy notification for around 62,000 Group D positions was released in February 2018 along with around 25,500 Group C positions. Group C vacancies were later increased to more than 60,000.
