A successful day for India in Paris with Nishad Kumar winning a silver in men’s high jump T47 and Preethi Pal taking home a second bronze medal from the Games, this time in women’s 200m T35.

The day started off on a rather sedate note for India with multiple losses in badminton, but it has ended on a good note. There were certainly misses – the biggest being Rakesh Kumar’s loss in men’s compound archery open bronze medal match.

But, India’s medal tally has gone from five to seven. There are a lot more medals on offer tomorrow, with even the country’s biggest medal bet Sumit Antil in action in men’s javelin throw F64. Do join us then. Unil then, sayonara!

Badminton, women’s singles SU5: Thulasimathi Murugesan will play for gold tomorrow. She beats Manisha Ramadass 23-21, 21-17 in 39 minutes.

Badminton, women’s singles SU5: A hard fought opening game and it eventually falls in favour of the top seeded Thulasimathi Murugesan, who pockets it 23-21.

Manisha Ramadass, a former world champion, needs to dig deep if she has to earn a spot in the final.

Badminton, women’s singles SU5: For the final action of the day, we have an all-India clash between the top two seeds as Thulasimathi Murugesan and Manisha Ramadass go up against each other. The winner of this contest will play for gold tomorrow, while the loser will move into the bronze medal match.

This should be a very exciting contest.

The reigning silver medallist Nishad Kumar and USA's reigning champion Townsend are the only two athletes yet to start in this competition. They might come in post the 1.90m mark.

Archery, men's individual compound open semi-final: A great performance from World No 1 Rakesh Kumar but he will not be shooting for gold. Ai Xinliang defeats Kumar 145-143 and the Indian will fight for bronze.

Athletics, men's high jump T47: The competition started at 1.50m, but the first Indian – Ram Pal – comes it at a height of 1.84m. Easy clearance on the first attempt.

Archery, men's individual compound open quarter-final: What a stunning performance from Rakesh Kumar to make it to the semi-final! After Canada’s Kyle Tremblay forced a shoot off with scores level 144-144. Kumar shot a perfect X to seal his spot.

Badminton, men’s singles SL3: Nitesh Kumar is into the finals! He defeats Japanese shuttler Fujihara Daisuke 21-16, 21-12.

Badminton, men’s singles SL3: A very close start to the contest, but Nitesh Kumar displays why exactly he is the world No 1 in this category. The Indian pockets the opening game 21-16 in 25 minutes.

Badminton, women’s singles SH6: India’s Nithya Sre advances to the semi-finals. She beats Poland’s Oliwia Szmigiel 21-4, 21-7 in just 19 minutes in the quarter-finals.

The Indian will go up against China’s Lin Shuangbao for a spot in the final later in the day.

Athletics, men’s shot put F40: Ravi Rongali finishes fifth. He throws 10m with his final attempt, but that is not enough for a podium.

Rongali signs off with a personal best 10.63m!

Shooting, Mixed 10m air rifle prone SH2: India’s Sriharsha Devaraddi fails to qualify for the final. He finishes 26th in the qualification round with a score of 630.2.

Athletics, men’s shot put F40: A 9.83m throw for Ravi Rongali with his penultimate attempt. The Indian has been pushed down to fifth spot as Mongolia’s Battulga Tsegmid registers 11.09m!

Rowing, P3 Mixed Double Sculls Final B: The Indian pair of Anita and Narayana Konganapalle clock 8:16.96s to finish second. The Final B is to classify positions from 7th to 12th.

The second place finish means, Anita and Konganapalle finish a creditable eighth in the competition.

Athletics, women’s 1500m T11 Heats: India’s Rakshitha Raju finishes fourth in her heat, clocking 5:29.92s. She failes to advance to the next stage.

Shooting, Mixed 10m air rifle prone SH1 Qualification: India’s Avani Lekhara and Siddartha Babu fail to qualify for the final.

Lekhara finishes 11th with a score of 632.8, while Babu came in a disappointing 28th with a score of 628.3. Top eight shooters move into the final.

Badminton, women’s singles SU5: Finally, a win on the badminton court for India on Sunday. Manisha Ramadass beats Mamiko Toyoda 21-13, 21-16 to storm into the semi-finals.

The seconded seeded Ramadass will now take on fellow Indian and top seed Thulasimathi Murugesan for a spot in the women’s singles SU5 final.

Badminton, women’s singles SL4: That’s the end of the road for Palak Kohli. She goes down 19-21, 15-21 after a 28-minute battle against Khalimatus Sadiyah in the quarter-finals.

India expanded their medal tally to five as Rubina Francis became the latest to add a bronze on Saturday.

On Sunday, Avani Lekhara and Preethi Pal will be in contention for their second medals at the 2024 Paralympics in Paris as they compete in their respective events.

Lekhara will participate in the mixed 10m air rifle prone SH1 event with Sidharth Babu, while Pal will race in the women’s 200m T35 at Stade de France.

Sukant Kadam will face Suhas Yathiraj in the men’s badminton singles SL4 semi-final, securing at least one medal for India. Nitesh Kumar also competes in the men’s badminton singles SL3 semi-final, aiming to increase India's medal count.

In addition, Ravi Rongali (men's shot put), Nishad Kumar, and Ram Pal (men's high jump) will strive for podium finishes in their respective events.

Aside from that, the Indian shuttlers will continue their charge in their respective individual quarter-finals and semi-finals in the hopes of winning a medal.
