Top seeds Bethanie Mattek-Sands and Lucie Safarova won their fifth Grand Slam women’s doubles title on Sunday at the French Open putting them halfway to a calendar Slam.

The American/Czech pair defeated unseeded Ashleigh Barty and Casey Dellacqua of Australia 6-2, 6-1 for their third successive major title, after winning the US Open in 2016 and the Australian Open in January 2017. They previously also captured the 2015 Australian and French Opens as well.

Mattek-Sands and Safarova put in only 39% of their first serves to their opponents’ high percentage of 72%, but they won slightly better margin of points – 64% to the Australians’ 56%. They also converted six of the 12 break points they faced and saved three of the four break points on their serve. For the 66-minute matchup, the champions finished off with 62 points to the Australians’ winning 44 points.
