Fast bowlers Shivam Mavi and Avesh Khan, playing for Kolkata Kinght Riders and Delhi Daredevils respectively, were on Saturday reprimanded for breaching the Indian Premier League’s Code of Conduct.
The two bowlers were issued reprimands for two separate incidents during the match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Daredevils at the Feroz Shah Kotla on Friday.
Mavi had a few words to say to Delhi’s Colin Munro after dismissing him, while Avesh was found guilty of the same offence after he dismissed KKR’s Andre Russell. Avesh was also seen blowing a kiss in Nitish Rana’s direction after dismissing him in the same match.
“Both Mr Mavi and Mr Khan admitted to the Level 1 offence under 2.1.7 of the IPL Code of Conduct for Players and Team Officials and accepted the sanctions,” the league said in a statement. For Level 1 breaches of the IPL Code of Conduct, the match referee’s decision is final and binding.
Delhi Daredevils beat Kolkata Knight Riders by 55 runs in the match.
