Rutuja Bhosale continued her winning run in the ITF USD 25K event in Wuhan to progress to the semi-final.
Rutuja beat Oman’s Fatma Al Nabhani 7-5, 6-2 in the quarter-final after she’d upset third seed Fang Ying Xun in straight sets.
Meanwhile, Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan and his Austrian partner Tristan-Samuel Weissborn lost to the Belgian pair of Joran Vliegen and Sander Gillé in the men’s doubles quarter-final of the ATP Challenger at Heilbronn, Germany.
At the ITF F3 Futures in Uganda, Dhruv Sunish lost to Zimbabwe Takanyi Garanganga 3-6, 3-6 in the quarter-final. Earlier, six Indian lost, participating in the men’s doubles event, had lost in the quarter-final.
