SRH skipper David Warner: It has been a tough one. The way our bowlers came back after the Powerplay was fantastic. We knew on this surface if you got off to a flier it is always tough in the middle, the bowlers executed well. I thought Vijay, who is not one of our strike bowlers, bowled fantastic, could have bowled him an extra one, that’s the handiness of having him in the middle but the bowlers got us to a good total to chase. Obviously Jonny at the top of the order and Kane taking it deep, we couldn’t bat well in the middle overs.

DC 8/0 after 0.6 balls: A referral for run out. They couldn’t get their bat on the ball but scampered through for a quick single. DC win a tight, tight match. Brilliant cricket by both teams. That short single by Warner hurt SRH.

DC 7/0 after 0.5 balls: A review for LBW by SRH but the ball would have missed leg-stump. Scores are level.

DC 6/0 after 0.4 balls: A dot ball.

DC 6/0 after 0.3 balls: Pant top-edges a reverse sweep over short third-man for a four.

SRH 144/7 after 20 overs: Rabada started off with a wide and then Williamson hit a scoop shot for a four off the next ball. And then off the third ball of the over, Suchith slammed one into the stands. It is down to 4 off 3 balls. SRH only managed three singles off the next three balls. The match ended in a tie and we are going to have a Super Over now.

SRH 144/7 after 19 overs: Suchith comes in and smashes two balls (out of the three he faced) for fours. Sunrisers Hyderabad need 16 runs in 6 balls. This could just go down to the wire.

SRH 136/7 after 18.3 overs: WICKET! Shankar (8 off 7) drags one back onto the stumps. Avesh Khan gets another wicket. Sunrisers Hyderabad need 24 runs in 9 balls.

SRH 132/6 after 18 overs: Williamson doing his best. A four off the first ball from Mishra put the pressure on the leggie and SRH managed to make it a 11-run over. Sunrisers Hyderabad need 28 runs in 12 balls – a tough ask on any wicket... more so on this one.

SRH 117/4 after 16 overs: FIFTY! Williamson gets to a classy fifty. His 16th fifty in the IPL. It has taken him 42 balls but it might not be enough. Sunrisers Hyderabad need 43 runs in 24 balls.

SRH 104/4 after 14.2 overs: WICKET! Kedar Jadhav (9 off 9) is stumped. A smart piece of bowling by Amit Mishra. Expected the batsmen to come at it, kept it slow and let the turn do the rest.

SRH 104/3 after 14 overs: Williamson is putting on a show in tough batting conditions. He gets another four, this time off Rabada, to reach 44 off 37 balls. Really does make batting look easy.

SRH 84/3 after 11.2 overs: WICKET! Virat Singh (4 off 14) goes for the pull against Avesh and hits it straight to Stoinis in the circle. Just wasn’t able to get going.

SRH 84/2 after 11 overs: Virat Singh (4 off 12 balls) struggling to get the ball away but he just needs to find a way to keep getting Williamson back on strike. Sunrisers Hyderabad need 76 runs in 54 balls.

SRH 80/2 after 10 overs: Williamson showing the way. Playing late against the spinners, waiting for them to release the ball before he decides what shot to play. His battles against Mishra and Ashwin (in this over) are fascinating to watch.

SRH 72/2 after 9 overs: Two classy fours by Williamson in the Amit Mishra over. Two fours and four dot balls. Sunrisers Hyderabad need 88 runs in 66 balls and it’s time for a strategic timeout.

SRH 64/2 after 8 overs: Tight over by Ashwin. It piles on the pressure even more. Just two runs off it. Virat Singh has 2 off 7 and he will feel the pressure soon.

SRH 62/2 after 7 overs: SRH have some momentum thanks to that Bairstow knock but they have also lost both their in-form openers. They need to do a bit of rebuilding now but scoring will get more difficult too. Williamson the key now.

SRH 45/2 after 5.4 overs: WICKET! 4-1-6-W! Bairstow (38 off 18) was batting so well but he hit that straight to Dhawan and he’s gone. Just got carried away there. Avesh Khan picks up a big wicket.

SRH 45/1 after 5 overs: Bairstow (32 off 16) rolls on. He is doing for SRH what Shaw did for DC. Quick runs in the early going. A four and a six for the SRH opener in the Axar over. Some gutsy shots.

SRH 28/1 after 3.2 overs: RUN OUT! Bairstow is striking the ball so well, SRH were moving along smoothly and then he called for a quick single. It caught Warner (6) napping a little and the SRH skipper was caught out of his crease by a good throw from Rabada. A significant moment in the game given what Warner brings to this SRH team.

SRH 10/0 after 2 overs: A lot happened in the over. Bairstow was given out caught behind but the decision was reversed after a review. Then Warner was dropped on the boundary line by Hetmyer. A lot happened but the SRH openers are still out there in the middle.

SRH 5/0 after 1 over: Warner and Bairstow know what is needed on this wicket and that should help them pace this innings better. SRH have usually done well in the first half of their chases.

SRH openers are out for the chase and DC will know how crucial it is to send them back.

DC 159/4 after 20 overs: SRH will need 160 to win. Khaleel got taken for 13 runs off the last over of the innings. Not his day but Smith picking up a few more runs in what could prove to be a very vital innings of 34 (25).

DC 145/4 after 19 overs: WICKET! Another wicket for Kaul. Hetmyer just didn’t get the distance on it and Williamson took a good catch. Two wickets and just 3 runs in the superb over for Kaul.

DC 142/3 after 18.2 overs: WICKET! Kaul’s slower ball does the trick. Pant (37 off 27) threw everything at it but still could only hit it as far as the fielder in the deep.

DC 142/2 after 18 overs: Big over. Just what DC needed. 11 runs off the Khaleel over. The pitch has played okay but shot-making has not been easy.

DC 131/2 after 17 overs: Kaul dropped Smith (on 14) early in the Shankar over. An easy catch but he somehow put it down. The average score at this venue has been 165. Can DC get to that? 18 deliveries remain in the innings.

DC 127/2 after 16 overs: Rashid’s four overs are done and DC have got 31 runs off them. That is a pretty decent return. Big last 4 overs coming up for SRH – they need to keep things as tight as possible.

DC 114/2 after 14.4 overs: Pant punished Kaul in the over. 6-2-2 after a dot ball to begin the over. Then Pant got injured while getting back to his crease. A physio was called out and time for a strategic timeout too.

DC 104/2 after 14 overs: A superb reverse sweep by Pant, got DC a four off Rashid. The googly pitched outside the leg stump and the DC skipper was ready. Picked the gap too. Smart cricket.

DC 96/2 after 13 overs: DC have slowed down, the wickets haven’t helped and the pitch is starting to come into play as well. But Pant and Smith can take the opportunity to get their eye in before they play the shots. Shaw’s knock gives them the luxury of doing that.

DC 84/2 after 11.3 overs: RUN OUT!! Shaw (53 off 39) has been run out! Big mix-up. He was batting so well but there was no single there. He took off from the non-striker’s end. Pant refused the single and Shaw was unable to get back in time. This will hurt DC.

DC 81/1 after 10.2 overs: WICKET! Rashid gets SRH the breakthrough. Dhawan (28 off 26) walking back. Down the track and beaten by the leg-spin to get bowled.

DC 80/0 after 10 overs: Shaw gets to a brilliant fifty. He has played shots all around the park. 50 off 35. His second fifty this season.

DC 76/0 after 9 overs: Rashid Khan is one of the toughest bowlers to use your feet against. But Shaw did just that. Classy shot and it shows just how good Shaw is feeling about his game. Nine runs off the over.

DC 67/0 after 8 overs: And Dhawan helps pick up the pace again. Two back-to-back fours in the Suchith over. SRH will bring Rashid Khan into the attack soon.

DC 56/0 after 7 overs: A bit of a slowdown in the last few overs. SRH just clawing their way back into the game a bit. Shaw and Dhawan would have got their eye in. DC assistant coach Kaif believes they might look at a total of around 180.

DC 26/0 after 2 overs: An even better over for DC! Dhawan and Pant aren’t holding back in the early going. With Bhuvi missing, the pressure is on SRH already. Abhishek Sharma gave away 14 runs in the over.

DC 12/0 after 1 over: Shaw starts off the match with a four off the first ball. A bit too much width from Khaleel. Then, the left-armer sprayed one onto the legs and Shaw tucked it off his legs for another four. The third ball was crunched through the off-side. What a start to the game!

Hello and welcome to our coverage of the game between SRH and DC. Rishabh Pant’s brute power will be put to test against Rashid Khan’s bagful of tricks in an Indian Premier League encounter where Delhi Capitals will start as favourites against Sunrisers Hyderabad due to their better bowling resources.

The much-criticised Chepauk track will host its 10th and final IPL game of the season in which both Pant and his opposite number David Warner would pray for a decent batting surface for their flamboyant batters.
