I don’t regret calling PM Narendra Modi a psychopath, says Arvind Kejriwal
The Delhi chief minister admitted to being crass, but justified his remarks claiming he spoke from the heart.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said on Tuesday that he did not regret calling Prime Minister Narendra Modi “a coward and a psychopath”. He had made the remarks on Twitter after the Central Bureau of Investigation raided the Delhi Secretariat earlier this month. “I don’t regret anything. I accept I use bad language; I speak from the heart,” he said in an interview with NDTV.
Kejriwal further accused the Bharatiya Janata Party of targeting him using all central agencies, and challenged the CBI to “send 100 officers to the Delhi Secretariat and look into every file in my office”. He continued to maintain that the raid at the office of his principal secretary Rajendra Kumar was a ruse to gain access to files on corruption in the Delhi and District Cricket Association. Kejriwal has accused finance minister Arun Jaitley of being involved in the corruption.
“It is almost like no one killed Jessica Lal. There was corruption, but ghosts did it,” he said, when it was pointed out that his government's inquiry commission did not mention Jaitley in its report. Kejriwal also alleged that a DDCA official had demanded sexual favours from the wife of a senior journalist if they wanted their son to be selected in the cricket team. He added that the journalist is ready to testify in an inquiry.
