Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday asked government departments to resolve public grievances within 60 days, reported The Hindu. He said redressing such complaints is the “biggest aspect of democracy” and asked officers to make sure that only only exceptional cases take more than two months to address.
A PMO statement issued after the Wednesday's meeting said the PM has asked officials to integrate land records with Aadhaar ‘at the earliest’ . He said the step is extremely important to monitor successful implementation of the new Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana or crop insurance scheme. The record are being digitised under the PM's Digital India programme.
