India’s fastest train Gatimaan Express launched
The train, that will run at 160 kmph, will cover the distance from Hazrat Nizamuddin, Delhi to Agra Cantonment in 90 minutes.
Gatimaan Express, the country’s fastest train, was launched on Tuesday by Railways Minister Suresh Prabhu. The 12-coach train will operate between Delhi’s Hazrat Nizamuddin station and Agra Cantonment. The train’s fare is set to be higher than that of the Shatabdi Express – AC chair car tickets tickets will be sold at Rs 750, and tickets in the executive AC chair car compartment will cost Rs 1,500, reported The Times of India. The train will run on all days except Fridays, when the Taj Mahal is closed. Passengers aboard the Gatimaan Express will have access to WiFi among other facilities.
