Delhi hit-and-run case: Juvenile accused gets bail
The Juvenile Justice Board had rejected the teenager's bail application just a week ago.
The teenage boy accused in the Delhi hit-and-run case was granted bail on Tuesday by the Juvenile Justice Board, reported ANI. This comes just a week after the board had rejected his bail plea, calling him a repeat offender. The teenager had mowed down Siddharth Sharma, a 35-year-old man, with his father's Mercedes in Delhi earlier this month, and was charged with culpable homicide not amounting to murder.
The teenager turned 18 three days after the accident took place, and was counselled by the Juvenile Justice Board. His businessman father was arrested by the Delhi Police for abetment to culpable homicide not amounting to murder.
