Political murders: CPI(M) worker and BJP member hacked to death in Kerala
Both men were killed on Monday only hours apart in Kannur district's Payyanur town.
A Communist Party of India (Marxist) worker and a Bharatiya Janata Party member were killed in Kannur district in Kerala on Monday, reported The Indian Express. While the CPI(M) supporter CV Dhanaraj was hacked to death by unidentified men near his house in Payyanur, saffron party worker, Ramachandran, was killed in his own house in the same town when some men hurled a crude bomb and then hacked him to death.
Both the men died on their way to the hospital. The crimes took place within hours of one another. Ramachandran was a leader of the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh leader, the labour wing of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.There have been reports of several incidents of violence and clashes between the two political parties after the Left Democratic Front government came to power following the Assembly elections in the state on May 16.
