Arvind Kejriwal sacks Delhi's social welfare minister after receiving CD with 'objectionable' videos
The disk reportedly contained photos and videos of Sandeep Kumar in a compromising position with two women.
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday sacked Delhi's Social Welfare Minister Sandeep Kumar after receiving a CD with "objectionable" content in which Kumar is reportedly seen in a compromising position with two women. He announced the decision on Twitter, saying the Aam Aadmi Party "stands for propriety in public life", which cannot be compromised. The minister was removed from the Delhi Cabinet "with immediate effect". Kumar also held the women and child development portfolio in the state.
The CD contained both photographs and videos of Kumar, according to ABP News, which said it received the disk at 5 pm on Wednesday. The news channel approached Kejriwal for a response at 8 pm, after which the chief minister promptly removed the minister from his Cabinet. ABP News said it received the CD along with an anonymous complaint letter.
