Give 'Bigg Boss' a woman's voice and I will participate in the show: Trupti Desai to producers
The activist believes that the popular reality TV programme, which will enter its 10th season, would be a good platform to promote gender equality.
Women's rights activist Trupti Desai on Monday said she was willing to participate in the upcoming season of Bigg Boss if the voiceover for the reality TV show was changed to a woman's, reported PTI. "I am ready to enter the [Bigg Boss] house. During my meeting with the TV channel [Colors TV] and its producers, I told them that if they rope in a female as the voice of Bigg Boss, I will accept the offer," she said.
Desai believes that Bigg Boss would be a good platform to promote gender equality. She added that it will not be possible for her to spend a lot of time in the Bigg Boss house because she has campaigns to lead in the coming months.
Bigg Boss has had a male voiceover since its debut in 2006. Colors TV has yet to announce the names of the contestants for the 10th season of the show, which is hosted by Bollywood actor Salman Khan. This season will not feature celebrities, but common people, reported The Times of India.
