MNS' film wing issues 48-hour deadline for Pakistan artists to leave India
The MNS Chitrapat Sena claimed they will 'push them [Pakistan artists] out' if they do not leave in the next two days.
The film wing of the Raj Thackeray-led Maharashtra Navnirman Sena on Friday issued a deadline to all artists from Pakistan to leave India within 48 hours, reported ANI. Amey Khopkar of the MNS Chitrapat Sena, said, "We give a 48-hour deadline to Pakistani actors and artists to leave India or MNS will push them out."
In September last year, ghazal singer Ghulam Ali was forced to cancel his performance in Mumbai after the Shiv Sena threatened to disrupt his concert.
Friday's threat comes as ties between the two countries have deteriorated. India has accused Pakistan of being involved in the recent militant attack on the Army base camp in Kashmir's Uri, while Pakistan has taken up the ongoing unrest in Kashmir at the United Nations General Assembly.
