Two suicide bombers blew themselves up in the Turkish Capital of Ankara on Saturday. Local administration said a man and a woman were involved in the attack. Governor Erkan Topaca confirmed the incident and said no one was hurt in the explosions, reported AP.

The state-run Anadolu Agency reported that the militants were also planning to carry out a car bomb attack in the city, according to Reuters. Topaca said investigators believed that the attackers were linked to the outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party. The outfit has carried out several similar attacks in the past.

According to the Reuters report, the Kurdistan Workers Party has fought a three-decade-old war in Turkey, which has claimed the lives of over 40,000 people. The Islamic State group has also targeted the country in its attacks.
