Tamil Nadu: DMK chief M Karunanidhi admitted to Chennai hospital
A statement issued by the Kauvery hospital said the former state chief minister was stable and would remain at the facility for a few days.
Former Tamil Nadu chief minister and Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam chief M Karunanidhi was admitted to a Chennai hospital on Thursday morning for nutritional treatment and hydration. Karunanidhi was accompanied to the hospital by his wife Rajathiammal, his son MK Stalin and former union minister Dayanidhi Maran, the Hindustan Times reported.
A statement issued by the Kauvery hospital in the city’s Alwarpet area said the 92-year-old DMK chief was stable and would remain at the facility for a few days for his treatment. News of the former state chief minister’s admission to the hospital comes even as current Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa recovers at another hospital in the state capital.
