Jammu and Kashmir: One militant killed in Anantnag encounter, combing operation underway
Officials said another exchange of fire is underway in Bomai, Sopore.

Security forces killed one militant during an encounter in Anantnag’s Bijbehara in Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday, reports said. Combing operations are underway. According to Greater Kashmir, the man was identified as Basit Rasool of Marhama village of Bijbehara, and was studying at the Islamic University of Science before he became a militant.
Another encounter is reportedly underway in Bomai, Sopore, where the armed forces have cordoned off the area as militants are believed to be hold up inside a building.
