A militants was killed in an encounter with security forces in Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Tuesday. The gun battle started after security personnel launched a search operation upon receiving intelligence input about the presence of militants in Parray Mohalla in Hajin area, PTI reported.
Investigators said the militant started firing indiscriminately, and was later killed in retaliatory firing. The administration has yet to make public the identity of the militant and his group. This comes only a day after three General Reserve Engineer Force labourers were killed in a militant attack in the state’s Akhnoor area.
