Pop star Justin Bieber will be performing in Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium on May 10, confirmed tour promoter White Fox India. Priced at Rs 4,000 onward, tickets will be available from February 22.

Apart from Mumbai, the Canadian singer will be visiting two other Asian cities – Tel Aviv in Israel and Dubai in United Arab Emirates – as part of his “Purpose” World Tour 2017. Purpose is Bieber’s fourth album in which he has experimented with more “exploratory electronic sounds”. The album was a chart-topper in more than 100 countries and has sold over eight million copies worldwide.

The singer will be in India for about a week during which he plans to visit a couple of tourist places, reported Hindustan Times. “He’ll visit New Delhi and Jaipur for some sightseeing. The organisers are putting together a tentative itinerary that’ll include a visit to a film set, some local shopping, and seeing places of historical interest, plus meet-and-greet with A-list musicians and actors,” an official told the newspaper.

Bollywood celebrities are likely to inaugurate the concert, reported The Times of India. “Nothing has been confirmed yet, but AR Rahman, Sonu Nigam and Arijit Singh, along with a host of Bollywood biggies such as Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are most likely to be roped in to perform and host the concert,” another official told the daily.

Rumours are also doing the rounds that one of the Khans or the Ambani family might host a party for the Grammy-winner.
