A chopper carrying Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis was forced to crash-land in Latur on Thursday. The chief minister and four people travelling with him escaped without injuries.

“Our helicopter did meet with an accident in Latur but me and my team is absolutely safe, nothing to worry,” Devendra Fadnavis wrote on Twitter. “Fortunately, I have the blessings of more than 11 crore people of Maharashtra so I have escaped without any injuries.” A technical snag in the helicopter is believed to have led to the accident, reported The Indian Express.
