Karnataka: Man dies after SUV carrying BJP state chief BS Yeddyurappa’s son runs over him
A case has been registered at Nyamati police station.
A man succumbed to his injuries on Thursday night after being mowed down by an SUV carrying BY Raghavendra, the son of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Karnataka unit President BS Yeddyurappa (pictured above). Police arrested the driver of the SUV, Ravichandran, and booked him with fatal rash driving, NDTV reported.
A case has been registered against the driver at Nyamati police station. The incident occurred at around 8.30pm in Honnali. Raghavendra, also a Karnataka BJP MLA, was on his way home from his constituency of Shimoga, News18 reported.
Police are investigating if this is an accident or a hit-and run case. Reports said the deceased got out of an auto he was travelling in without looking at oncoming vehicles.
