Twenty-four passengers on a Mumbai-bound Tejas Express showed symptoms of food poisoning soon after eating on the train on Sunday morning. After the train stopped in Chiplun village, they were taken to a hospital in Ratnagiri district, News18 reported.

The train pantry is run by the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation. Around 350 passengers were served breakfast on the train, IRCTC tweeted, adding that food samples have been taken to be tested. An inquiry has been ordered, according to News18.

The train was launched in May and runs between Mumbai and Goa, which it does in under nine hours.
