Gurugram murder: Supreme Court grants interim bail to Ryan International Group’s owners
The court has told the Punjab and Haryana High Court to decide the matter within 10 days.
The Supreme Court on Monday granted interim bail to Ryan International Group Chief Executive Officer Ryan Pinto and his parents – founding chairman Augustine Pinto and Managing Director Grace Pinto – in connection with the murder of a student on campus, ANI reported.
The Supreme Court also directed the Punjab and Haryana High Court to decide the matter within 10 days.
The Gurugram Police had earlier summoned all three for interrogation in connection with the murder of the Class 2 student inside the school. The student was found with his throat slit inside a toilet on campus on September 8.
An autopsy had revealed that injuries on the boy’s neck, inflicted by a sharp-edged weapon, were the cause of his death. The student’s trachea and food pipe were damaged in the attack, the report said.
A bus conductor was arrested later that day for attacking him. There are allegations against the Ryan Group school of violating security norms. Two other arrested officials – the group’s northern zone head Francis Thomas and another official Jayesh Thomas – are out on bail.
