Bhopal gangrape: Medical report corrected after first concluding that sex was consensual
The hospital said a newcomer made the error in the first report.
The initial medical report of a woman, who was allegedly raped by four men in Bhopal last week, said the sex was consensual, media reports said on Thursday. However, the report was later corrected and re-issued, a doctor told ANI.
A newcomer had made the error in the first report, said Superintendent of Sultania Women Hospital Dr Karan Peepre. “It has also been directed that a senior woman doctor or her team will assist the internal and external inquiry of such sensitive cases,” Peepre said.
The four accused were arrested for allegedly abducting and raping the 19-year-old woman on October 31 when she was returning home after a coaching class.
