Kashmir: Two children injured in stone-pelting on school bus in Shopian
In a separate incident in the same district, suspected militants hurled a petrol bomb at the home of Peoples Democratic Party MLA Mohammad Yusuf Bhat.
At least two children sustained injuries after a group of people attacked a school bus in Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian district on Wednesday, the Rising Kashmir reported. Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti said the perpetrators of the violence would be punished.
Shopian Senior Superintendent of Police Shalender Kumar Mishra said an investigation had been initiated into the attack on the Rainbow International School bus in Zavoora. There were more than 50 students on the bus, NDTV reported.
One of the students has been grievously injured and is being treated at a hospital in Srinagar.
