Pink Bengali director Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury’s first film in Hindi stars Taapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari, Andrea Tariang, Amitabh Bachchan, Angad Singh Bedi and Piyush Mishra. Pannu plays Minal, whose decision to lodge a police complaint after being sexually assaulted by Rajbir (Bedi) has terrible consequences for her and her flat mates (Kulhari and Tariang). Harassment and allegations of prostitution follow, and the case lands up in court, where Bachchan’s grizzled lawyer defends Minal.

The Light Between the Oceans Based on ML Stedman’s bestselling novel of the same name, Derek Cianfrance’s period drams stars real-life couple Michael Fassbender and Alicia Vikander. Lighthouse keeper Tom (Fassbender) and Isabel (Vikander) keep an infant girl who washes up ashore but have to face the consequences of their action when the real mother (Rachel Weisz) claims her child. Cianfrance has previously directed the acclaimed dramas Blue Valentine and The Place Beyond the Pines.
