Malayalam and Tamil actor Manjima Mohan will play the role of Kangana Ranaut’s Rani Mehra from Queen (2013) in the Malayalam remake Zam Zam.
“Super privileged to be part of this prestigious project ‘Zam Zam’. Will do my best to do justice to the role,” the actor tweeted. Mohan made her Tamil debut with Gautham Vasudev Menon’s Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada (2016) and has starred in the Malayalam movie Oru Vadakkan Selfie (2015).
The Tamil version of Queen, titled Paris Paris, stars Kajal Aggarwal. The untitled Telugu version will see Tamannaah Bhatia as the lead.
Vikas Bahl’s Queen tells the story of a woman who sets out alone to Paris on her honeymoon by herself after her fiance calls off the wedding.
