“Behind every comfort we wish for, there is a mini war,” Pawan Kalyan’s character says in the trailer for Agnyaathavaasi, before going on to zoom around his bicycle and confront thugs.

Directed Trivikram Srinivas, the film is about a man (Pawan Kalyan) who returns from exile after his wealthy father is murdered. The film also stars Aadhi, Anu Emmanuel, Keerthy Suresh, Kushboo and Boman Irani.

The January 10 release will have shows throughout the day in theatres across Andhra Pradesh for its first seven days.

However, the movie has been caught in a copyright row – its plot bears similarities with the 2008 French movie Largo Winch. Bollywood music company and producer T-Series, which owns the remake rights to Jerome Salle’s movie, is reportedly contemplating legal action against the makers of Agnyaathavaasi. In Largo Winch, the son of a billionaire, who was raised away from the family, has to prove his legitimacy after his father is murdered.

The copyright row caught the eye of Jerome Salle.
