A quiet Russian town named Lebedyan, known for being PepsiCo’s operational base in the country, was in for an unexpected surprise. One of the company’s warehouses collapsed suddenly on Tuesday.

The result? Floods of fruit juice flowed freely. We’re talking thousands of gallons of orange, tomato, apple and other juices being set free and catching unsuspecting locals by surprise. Some juice even ended up flowing out into the nearby River Don.

A video shot by a local citizen and published on the site of newspaper Moskovsky Komsolets revealed the extent of damage that was caused. Two associates were injured and taken to the hospital for medical treatment.

A PepsiCo spokesperson said,“We are aware of the situation at our Lebedyan site. The Emergency Services arrived this morning and are continuing to work onsite.

“People’s safety is our highest priority and we are working closely with the Emergency Services to assist them. We will provide an update as soon possible.”

Authorities were also closely monitoring the river to check its pollution levels after the mishap.
