Tiger viewings are rare. And to see one jumping twelve feet in the air must count as an even more uncommon experience. The remarkable footage in the video above offers just that view.

The video shows two tigers in an enclosure eagerly waiting to be fed as onlookers observe them from the other side of the fence. Just as a piece of meat is flung over the barbed wire one of tigers prepares itself for a mighty leap, and launches into the air.

According to National Geographic, tigers are known for their strength and flexibility and can sometimes jump as much as the height of an elephant.
