Watch: An illustrator listened to children and teenagers describing feminism. This is what he drew
‘I think there should be a girl President.’
“Do you think girls are as smart as boys?” illustrator, Koji Minami asked a young girl. “Of course,” she said. When asked whether she thought she was smarter than boys, she replied wisely. “Everyone is smart in their own way.”
When Minami sat down with two children and two teenagers to understand their idea of feminism – March is women’s history month – he got some serious inspiration for his drawings. From the suffragette movement to Malala, the young people spoke with passion about women who inspire them.
And yes, they’d like to see a “girl President” in the USA.
