SSC CGL 2017 paper leak: CBI has started preliminary enquiry, Centre informs SC
The bench disposed the PIL seeking a CBI probe on the SSC paper leak allegation.
Centre informed the Supreme Court on Tuesday that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has started a preliminary enquiry on the allegations of Staff Selection Commission’s (SSC) Combined Graduate Level (CGL) 2017 Tier II paper leak.
A bench of Justices R K Agarwal and A M Sapre took note of the Center’s submission and disposed off the PIL seeking the CBI inquiry on the allegations of paper leak. Earlier on March 12th, the court had requested the Centre to respond to the plea.
The PIL was filed by Advocate M L Sharma who had sought an investigation on the alleged paper leak of the CGL 2017 Tier II examination held on February 17th and February 21st.
Some candidates had alleged that the Tier II paper had been leaked on social media and have been protesting outside the SSC Office in New Delhi since February 27th.
