The Bihar Police Sub-ordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) has declared the preliminary exam results for recruitment of sub-inspector posts to the Bihar Police, according to reports. However, the Commission it yet to release the examination results on any of its official websites or portals.

The Commission said that 29,359 candidates have cleared the Bihar Police Prelim Exam 2018. The recruitment drive aims to fill 1,717 vacant posts of sub-inspector (daroga) in the Bihar Police.

The BPSSC preliminary examination for sub-inspector (daroga) posts was conducted on March 11th, 2018 and around 4.2 lakh candidates across more than 700 examination centres appeared for the exam. Candidates who have cleared the preliminary stage are eligible to appear for the Main examination.

The BPSSC on April 30th had also released a list of 355 candidates whose applications for the above recruitment drive were rejected, as the Commission had found that these candidates had sent in more than one application. The Commission said that this is strictly against the rules and candidates were informed about this at the time of application.

The notification for the 1,717 sub-inspector vacancies in the Bihar Police was announced on October 22nd, 2017. The BPSSC accepted online applications to fill the vacancies from October 24th until November 30th, 2017.

According to Times Now, BPSSC will recruit candidates based on ‘physical efficiency examination, physical standards test, written test, personality test/ interview, medical test, verification of antecedent and character.’
